Chelsea star insists Gerrard partnership can work

What are your thoughts on this, can they play together? If not who should be first chocie?

My opinion is that they probably can play together, but they need the rest of the team to help out.

If I had to pick one player though, I would go with Frank. He's more in-form than Gerrard at the moment, and has impressed when playing for England without Gerrard, but not the other way round.

I cant believe all of the cincern surrounding these two,

Imho Lampard is a much better player, Sure I support Chelsea, But regardless, I just dont see the buzz around Gerrard,
theres far better PAss'ers, much better holding players, and While Gerrard can follow up on anothers mishap and crack a shot from 30 yards, These rarely go in,

Lampard seems much more of a "Complete Package" And I feel he should always get looked at first.

However sayng that, I think as a supporting player to Lampard, Gerrad would play well under the correct supervision,
Whenever they are in the team together, Gerrard seem sto be trying to match Lampard, better him....

If Gerrard was under the correct suprvision (whatever that may be) Then I feel if he adapted his game slightly they could play far better together.

Knowing how well Lampard can adapt, I can only push the blame onto Gerrard, And if he was able to adapt a little more to allocate that Lampard has the main role, then I feel there partnership in the middle would be ammong the bes tin the world.

It makes sence to me, But on paper it might not, So hopefully y'all understand.

I always thought that they could play together quite well with the right direction. I dislike gareth barry, i think he's a nothing player, couldn't match lampard at all in the chelsea match. I think Lampard isn't played as the "main man" (for lack of a better description) when he plays for England, I think he's not told to run the game like he would for Chelsea. Surely that's down to tactics or instructions specifically. I think he is one of the best midfielders in the world, and certainly more consistent then "stevie me".
But they should play together, I mean, people said Lampard and Ballack couldnt play together...
