Player Roles

Seeing as all the stats for each player are the same in club mode, I think it would make sense to assign player roles such as corners, fk's, penaltys to whoever is strongest at them. I'd quite like to try corners, but not so keen on free kicks. Any thoughts?

It would help if EA allowed us to chose captain before we "PRESS X" because it would then help us save time waiting.

Whereas stats are indeed the same, they are only the same for that particular position.
So the best player to take a free kick, ignoring human abilities, would be which ever position is best at it, maybe cam's are better or st's are... But thats hard to tell without experimenting it. I think though we should choose the best at free kicks/corners and whatever, I haven't had much practice at free kicks on 09 but 08 i had it quite down, but i;m sure we have people who can take good ones. Who took the corners when I was drogba and i scored a hattrick? Was it adwan as lampard? Cause those were good, scored one and another saved.

We'll experiment with this as certain players will take them by default, we'll have to manually try diffeant people match to match

Well it was from the right of the goal, and it was the match we played just before you got there, so you wern't playing. But they were good deliveries to Drogba.

Yeah that was me. I quite like taking corners, I've got the power and angles pretty much sorted. Best thing to do with corners is aim to put it in the middle, let the attacking players do the rest. It's the same thing I used to do when I played football! lol

I've been practising taking free-kicks in the arena, and I think i'm ok at it, but it really isn't easy to score from them. I find the finese free-kick(the one with curl, press R1 and move the left stick as you power the shot in the direction you want it to curl to) isn't that great unless you get it spot on or get lucky, but the one where you blast it (press L1 when powering up) can work really well if you aim at just inside one of the posts.
